ABOUT MIRI MARY

The personality of Amsterdam. The soul of India.

Miri Mary is a contemporary Indian restaurant in De Pijp, where regional dishes, sharing plates and cocktails come together in a relaxed Amsterdam setting.

Indian food has never been one single story. We want our menu to reflect its variety, warmth and creativity, while still feeling completely at home in Amsterdam.

OUR JOURNEY

A journey that began in India.

Miri Mary was created by Foram and Anand, who stepped into hospitality after careers in law and finance.

While developing the idea, Foram spent two months travelling across India and visited around 120 restaurants, from established dining rooms to local favourites and roadside stops. The experience gave her a broader view of how much Indian food changes from one region to another.

That journey eventually led to Van der Helstplein in De Pijp, a neighbourhood whose open and multicultural character felt like the right home for Miri Mary.

"We only serve a particular dish or cocktail if it's EPIC."

OUR FOOD

Many regions, one table.

Indian cooking changes from region to region, shaped by different ingredients, techniques and family traditions. Our chefs bring those influences, along with the food they grew up eating, into the kitchen.

The menu brings familiar flavours together with dishes guests may not have tried before. Everything is designed for sharing, so the table can experience more than one part of India in a single meal.

Chef Nirvaan helped shape Miri Mary's original menu and culinary direction. He continues to work with the restaurant as a culinary consultant, joining the team once a year to refresh and update the menu.

WHAT MATTERS TO US

The things we care about.

Good food matters, but so does the way it is shared, sourced and experienced.

Made to be shared

Our plates belong in the centre of the table, giving everyone the chance to try different dishes and discover new favourites together.

Something for everyone

All meat is halal certified, and the menu includes vegetarian, vegan-adaptable and gluten-free options.

Sustainability in practice

We work with Dutch suppliers for fresh ingredients, including dairy and meat products from local suppliers. The restaurant's furniture is handmade, and surplus food that is still suitable to eat is used for staff meals rather than being wasted.

EXPERIENCE MIRI MARY

Come and experience it for yourself.

Join us in De Pijp for sharing plates, weekend brunch and lunch, dinner every evening and cocktails made with the same sense of curiosity as the food.
