21–25 October 2026
Amsterdam Dance Event has a way of making five days feel much longer.
There are panels to get to, people to meet, artists to see and nights that can easily run into the next morning. In between all of that, finding an hour to sit down properly can become surprisingly difficult.
Sometimes the best thing you can add to an ADE schedule is not another event. It is dinner.
A small ADE welcome from Miri Mary
During ADE week, ADE Pro pass holders and artists can enjoy a beer, glass of wine or soft drink on the house at Miri Mary. Show your pass when you arrive.
Five Days, Hundreds of Places to Be
ADE celebrates its 30th edition in 2026, running from Wednesday 21 October through Sunday 25 October.
The official programme spans more than 1,300 events across more than 300 venues, with over 3,600 artists involved.
The professional side is just as busy, with more than 11,000 music professionals gathering in Amsterdam for meetings, panels, networking and business sessions.
That scale is part of what makes ADE exciting, but it also means people spend a lot of time moving between places.
Leave Some Space Between Plans
It is easy to fill every gap in the calendar.
A panel ends, someone suggests coffee, another meeting appears, then suddenly the evening programme has already started.
Leaving an hour or two for a real meal can make the rest of the day feel much easier. It gives you somewhere to sit, talk without rushing and work out where everyone is going next.
For industry visitors especially, dinner can also become one of the more relaxed moments to catch up with people you have spent the day trying to find.
Why De Pijp?
ADE is spread all over Amsterdam, so there is no single neighbourhood that makes sense for everyone.
De Pijp can be useful when you want a little distance from conference rooms and event venues. It is lively, but it still feels like a neighbourhood, with restaurants, cafés and bars mixed into everyday streets.
That makes it an easy place to meet before the evening gets busier or to have dinner before travelling on to a later event.
If you want to explore the area more broadly, see our De Pijp dining guide.
Dinner Before the Night Starts
Miri Mary is on Van der Helstplein in De Pijp and serves dinner every evening from 17:30 to 22:00, with last food orders at 21:45.
The earlier part of dinner service can work especially well if you have somewhere else to be later.
The menu is designed around sharing, so a table can order a mix of dishes instead of everyone choosing a separate meal.
Current examples include tandoor-grilled dishes, Kerala-inspired seafood, Saag Paneer, Butter Chicken and Smoked Black Lentils.
For the current dinner details, visit the Miri Mary dinner page.
Good for the Kind of Groups ADE Creates
A table during ADE can be a strange mix of people.
You may be sitting with your own team, someone you met at a panel that afternoon, an artist, a manager or a colleague visiting from another country.
Sharing food suits that kind of dinner because it keeps things informal. You can order across the table, try different dishes and spend more time talking than studying individual menus.
For dinner groups of six or more, Miri Mary serves the Chef’s Heritage Menu, a three-course family-style menu built around regional Indian flavours.
A Better Place for Informal Conversations
ADE is built around meeting people, but not every conversation needs another conference room or networking space.
Sometimes it is easier to talk properly over dinner, especially after a long day of sessions and meetings.
A restaurant table gives the conversation a slower pace and a natural break from the professional programme.
For Artists, Teams and Industry Visitors
ADE brings artists, managers, labels, promoters, producers and teams from all over the world into the city at the same time.
Schedules can be unpredictable. A day might include interviews, meetings, soundchecks, travel and a performance, all before the night has really started.
During ADE week, ADE Pro pass holders and artists can enjoy a beer, glass of wine or soft drink on the house at Miri Mary. Show your pass when you arrive.
Different Dietary Preferences Around One Table
ADE groups are often international, which usually means different dietary preferences too.
Miri Mary has plenty of vegetarian dishes, several dishes that can be adapted for vegan diners and a number of gluten-free options.
Not every vegetarian dish is automatically vegan and not every dish can be adapted, so anyone with allergies or strict dietary requirements should let the team know directly.
Plan Dinner Backwards From Your Evening
There is no universal dinner time during ADE.
If your evening event starts around 20:00, eating close to the beginning of dinner service may make sense. If your plans start at 22:00 or later, there is more room to sit down without rushing.
The useful approach is simply to check where you need to be next and leave enough time to get there.
Sometimes You Just Need a Table
ADE already has enough official places to meet.
Miri Mary is not trying to add another event to the calendar.
It is simply somewhere in De Pijp where you can sit down, order dinner, have a conversation and take a little time before heading back into the week.
